Meet The Team

Devine Dentistry Team

After graduating from the University of Memphis and the University of Tennessee Dental School, I could not wait to get back to Nashville. I opened my doors in July of 1988. It seems like yesterday! With my wife, Conde, working as a newly graduated mechanical engineer, supporting us through the early years, she enabled me to slowly start building this dental practice. With the help over the years of many team members, super patients referring us patients, professional mentors, colleagues, and dental industry professionals, I have been fortunate, from the beginning, to create a vibrant, caring, successful practice.

Our practice today continues to grow and develop with new technology and technical training. We, however, never forget what got us here: delivering quality dental care and developing strong relationships with our patients in a happy, caring environment.

I am a Nashvillian with deep roots in both the community and dentistry. My grandfather, a retired dentist, loved to mentor me as do my parents, Joe and Stephanie Mack. My parents met and married when my mom was a dental student and my dad was an oral surgery resident at UAB in Birmingham. My father, Harry Russell “Joe" Mack, has been practicing Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Nashville for over 30 years and is a pillar within the Nashville Dental Community. Dr. Devine and my parents first met when the three of them took their dental board exams together in 1988!

In 2007, I graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy as a member of the Cum Laude Society and then went on to UNC Chapel Hill (go Heels!) to earn a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish. After graduating UNC with honors , I spent a year doing research at UNC’s dental school. I was honored to be accepted to UNC’s Adams School of Dentistry, one of the most selective and highly ranked dental schools in the United States.

After graduating UNC dental school with honors in 2016, I completed a year of general dentistry residency in California, treating veterans and gaining extensive experience in the surgical placement of implants. I have a special interest in dental implants and digital dentistry, utilizing computer aided design to fabricate my own surgical guides and plan implant placement cases for my patients.

After ten years of being away from home, I was thrilled to move back to Nashville. My next goal is to start my own family. In the meantime, I enjoy spending time on our farm with friends, my sister Caroline and my parents, and going on outdoor adventures with my circle of close friends from dental school.  In my free time, I enjoy volunteering at Interfaith Dental Clinic, meeting new people, hiking, water skiing, and snow skiing.

I am a native of Nashville, TN, and graduated from Christ Presbyterian Academy. I attended Auburn University for my undergrad where I was a Biomedical Sciences major and Business minor. It was at Auburn where I met my wife, Caroline. We met in an American History course... and the rest is history! Caroline is from Albertville, AL, and her dad and uncle are both practicing dentists there. Caroline works for Nashville-based company, Turkish-T. Before moving back to Nashville, my wife and I lived and worked in Phoenix, AZ, while I attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine. We spent our free time hiking all over Arizona with our friends and two dogs, Murphy and Moose. After graduation, Caroline and I were thrilled to move back to Nashville and begin this new chapter of our lives. We quickly learned that we would be enjoying this new chapter with a new member of our family... we welcomed our first child, CeCe, to the world in June, and we are totally in love!

My hobbies include anything outdoors or travel-related, finding new and different ways to be active (golfing, hiking, running, skiing), discovering new restaurants around Nashville with my wife, and helping take care of our little girl, CeCe!
